This is a headgun podcast

Nate Cole, Nathan Walters, Jason Perry, Jeremy Meyer and Gabe Cones. In the year 2000 these five boys would

band together to create an all-male singing pop group. In sync debuted in 1997, so in true CECM fashion,

plus one debuted three years later. The Christ-centered quintet consisted of two guys named Nate as well as three pastor's sons and five members of the

Assemblies of God Church. They came together super organically via auditions and a recording contract with Atlanta

Records. Their debut album, The Promise, lived up to the promise of the title going gold with over 500,000 copies sold

legendary pop producer David Foster took those boys knobs and cranked them up to 11. Luke 11, that is. They began touring with cute, but not too sexy Christian

pop artists like Jackie Velasquez, Rachel Lampa and Stacey O'Reco. But the highest honors came from the small screen.

Went on a very special episode of Touch by an Angel, plus one played a group of teenage prisoners that formed a boy band in jail.

The night the episode aired, Nielsen Family Boxes reportedly exploded across the country from the unprecedented ratings surge.

They followed up the promise with obvious and then the requisite Christmas album entitled Christmas following the in sync path almost one for one.

But then the past diverged in a lily whitewood when Jason and Jamie left leaving Nate, Nate and Gabe.

That's right, it was plus one minus two. This unholy Trinity limped along and released Exodus in 2003. The sound of negative one plus one minus two was a marked difference trading in five part harmonies for hard rock guitars, switched hair, and eventually succumbing to the praise and worship bug and festing all of CCM with a cover of Here I Am to Worship.

The album was co-produced by former Newsboys frontman and Mr. Clean Body double Peter Furler, who said that it's some of the best music I've ever been a part of, to which the newsboys responded,

Hey, immediately after the Exodus tour, the band broke up going on to make music, their solo careers, and with their wives, and then eventually again with each other in 2014 when the prodigal Jason reunited with Nate number one and Gabe to release my all in 2014.

They released that and no one's heard from them since. So we listened the plus one specifically the promise.
