For all you painters out there who have big audacious ideas you want to get off the ground, you are going to love this conversation. Terez and her friend Mark David are painters after my own heart. While hanging out and having coffee they came up with an idea for a little

plain air painting project. They were both sort of in a creative rut and they wanted a project to pull them out of it.

So without any prior backpacking experience, Terez and Mark figured out what they would need,

got funding, packed their gear, and hiked the 220 miles of the John Muir Trail in the Sierra

Nevada's.

Their story resonated with me for several reasons, but mostly because I love backpacking.
