This theme has been pointed out vanity of vanities.

Chapter 1 verse 2 says, or vanity of vanities, all is vanity. Vanity means emptiness without purpose or meaning.

Please notice in chapter 2 he says verse, I explored with my mind in verse four, I enlarged my works,

verse five, I made my gardens and parks, verse six, I made ponds of water,

verse seven, I brought male and female slaves.

Verse 8, I collected for myself silver and gold.
