Summary
This week, Kat is joined by another Three Cords Therapy therapist, Josie Oldham, LMSW. Josie specializes in body image, disordered eating, and eating disorders so Kat thought she would be the perfect guest to come on and talk about something that has been on her mind for a while now: The pressure to fit into certain "recovery minded" boxes perfectly. Recovery isn't linear, there isn't one way to do it. There isn't one belief system you have to have to live a life of freedom from diet culture. And whatever belief system fits with you- doesn't have to be perfect. We are so thankful that there are humans out there fighting the toxic beauty and wellness culture. . . AND we think it might be time that we start shifting the conversation so everyone just stops talking about our bodies :)
