And while I was expected,

that was a nasty consumer price index report that was released yesterday morning.

I was sort of glad that I wasn't on the air doing it live, Mark,

because I think when it came out, I went a wholly exploitive.

Just because the numbers are big, and eight and a half percent print on the CPI, the headline.

That is the fastest pace of inflation since December of 1981.

Mark, were you alive in December of 1981?

Oh, yes. I was alive. I was about the same age that Theo is now.

Oh, yes. So you felt it. You felt that high inflate.

I mean, that's a high rate.

And you know what? I went through the report.

I was doing some stuff for the CBS television stations.

And I was doing quick, like deep dive.

And some of these numbers are just awful.
