Oh, boy.

You ever sped?

You ever gone a little over the speed limit, not gotten caught, gotten home, and just said,

well, glad that worked out. Have you ever done anything for that matter that you're technically not

supposed to be doing, but you think to yourself, it'll just work itself out? Well, if it works itself out,

it's all well and good. The playoff committee does that,

and normally it works itself out, but guess what? They got caught with their pants down,

proverbially this time around, because it didn't work itself out. They did something you're not

supposed to do. It's not the thing you think they did, but it's something that they started doing

weeks ago that they weren't supposed to do, and that was the crux of a lot of the angst and anger and

bitterness that is surrounding and, dare I say, drowning our sport on this lovely Sunday evening,

because otherwise it's nice here in Nashville. We're jam-packed high atop. A very

anxiety-ridden downtown Nashville, Tennessee, late kick live Sunday,

December 3rd, the year of Our Lord, 2003. We were in Atlanta last night right there on the field

to witness it all. Alabama over Georgia. We were in Las Vegas the night before to witness it all

Washington over Oregon. I got some things to say about Washington later in the show. And then I was in

Nashville this morning watching with the rest of you as the college football playoff rankings were

unveiled. Do I have thoughts? You may wonder if you're watching the show. Otherwise, you probably

don't care what I think. Yeah, I got several of them. I got a full takeaway on Bama, Georgia,

yesterday because I don't want all the

playoff talk to sort of cloud the fact that we saw a really big game and a really surprising
