This week is the NFL draft.

It is a really interesting time for college football fans who get to see what the NFL

thinks of maybe their favorite players.

But there's also some real interesting stuff bubbling up on the playoff front.

You and I have talked a lot about the potential for expansion.

It has come up almost at every turn and the CFP folks decided to give it more oxygen. So I don't know which scenario

you're buying into. Tell us what you think is real. Tell us where you think this is headed.

Well, as you know, I've wrestled, I've gone back and forth over the past several years about whether I was pro 18 playoff or not.

I think in the last couple years, I've definitely, you know, gone to the point where I just don't,

I think you have to do it at this point because it's become too stale.

Whole parts of the country don't feel invested in it, especially out here in the West where they keep missing it.

But what caught us all by surprise, I mean, first of all, they never offer up specifics

voluntarily.

So to send out this email where like, you know, oh, we had our regular meetings this week,

nothing to see here except, oh, by the way, we have a subcommittee and they explored 63 different scenarios for possible expansion, 8, 10, 12, 16 teams, possibly.

We're going to talk about it some more.

So I think the main takeaway is this is no longer a theoretical thing.

This is no longer, well, maybe five years from now when the contract expires, maybe possibly
