To me, I think Alabama should be in front of Notre Dame.

I was a little surprised that they weren't, but I think it's the time of the loss, when they lost.

And to be honest, it's a hard one for me to wrap my head around.

I'm your host Greg McElroy. We are here at Madison Square Garden. We quite literally just walked off the court a moment ago. We're down in the green room. Probably see a little action behind me. There's some folks that are down here working as we cover the Champions Classic here at ESPN. It's been really fun, by the way, going to the games. Michigan State won an awesome game against Kentucky earlier. I know there might not be a lot of Sparty fans watching right now, but basketball team looks awesome.

We have the third version of the college football playoff top 25, and we will go through it today.

as well. So let's not waste any additional time. Let's kick it off. Let's talk a little college football playoff rankings. Okay, Ohio State is at the top. Shouldn't really be a lot to talk about there, not a lot to take away. Indiana sits at two. A&M's at three. The top three remain unchanged again this week because all those teams continue to hold serve. even though A&M's game was a little bit more dicey than some of the others, still a good win nonetheless. Georgia sits at four. They slide up a spot. Makes sense there. Really one through six all makes sense. Texas Tech at five, Ole Miss at six, didn't expect a lot of changes coming to the top six. We kind of knew what they were going to be.

It was very, very obvious based on what the committee had given us and what they valued up

at this point. The real question for me in this ranking was seven through 10. I knew the four

teams. I was just curious what the order would be. Okay. The committee decided to give us Oregon at number seven,

which I thought was a little interesting. Okay, I thought, but it made a little bit of sense,

given the fact that Texas Tech sits there right now at number five. Texas Tech strength of schedule

as of this moment is 52. So clearly, they're going more with eye test when it comes to the Texas

Tech Red Raiders. They look great. They look dominant. Their game control is at number two. That

means that they've just killed everybody for the most part with the exception of Arizona State,
