1:14.1 | Growing for other people. And I discovered this because of my neighbor, Mr. Bryant. He's 92 years old, |
1:21.9 | and he sits on his porch in his rocking chair for about five hours a day. Not in his phone, not reading, just rocking. |
1:30.4 | And I frequently would bring him bouquets from my garden to sit next to his rocking chair. |
1:35.8 | And his daughters told me how much he loved the flowers and that when they were younger, |
1:41.8 | he would actually go out and pick flowers to bring home. |
1:45.4 | And Mr. Bryant's not able to crouch down anymore and plant his own garden. |
1:51.0 | So a couple of seasons ago, I decided to double what I grow from my own garden and plant a garden for him. |
1:59.3 | And it gives him something to look at when he's walking on his porch. |
2:03.8 | And when I see him watering his garden and cutting flowers from it, it is one of the greatest |
