Hello everybody. Welcome to another episode of the Chuck Toddcast. It is post July 4th. I hope everybody had a enjoyable holiday. If you wanted rest, I hope you got it. If you did some activities, I know I'm a huge griller. I'm a huge water activity guy. So I did a lot of that. I'll be honest. Now I feel like I need to do some resting. But we're back. I hope you were able to avoid political discussions. And then we could have a red, white and blue 4th of July and that you didn't get stuck either having a red 4th of July or a blue 4th of July without without any any sort of any sort of less than patriotic feeling.

And I understand the frustrations many feel about the direction of this country these days.

But we do need to celebrate what was a tremendous idea and still the shot heard

around the world.

And I also want to welcome a whole bunch of new subscribers and listeners who've come in over

the last couple of weeks.

I've noticed this.

I think it's great.

I appreciate it.

Glad to see more people discovering where I'm hanging my hat.

And I know the frustrations, traditional media,

especially the media owners are doing some terrible decisions and capitulation and no longer protecting the First Amendment and basically selling out their own news divisions. I'm sorry for

that. But that's why we have this independent media space and I am i am pleased to be here uh got a packed

episode here we're going to talk a little bit about what happened in texas and what's going on

with frankly the politics of weather these days we'll also uh tackle elan musk's sudden interest

in a third party obviously you know those of you have been listening a lot

recently, know where my head is on that. Let's just say I have some strong opinions about where

Mr. Musk wants to head there. And then I want to tackle this idea of governing via retribution.

Can you really be the president of the United States and hate half the country and announce that you hate half the country?

More importantly, what happens when governors and senators decide to play that kind of retribution politics?

What happens when military veterans get caught into that trap?

I have a story about that later in this show.
