Summary

We’re heading into summer and parks and trails and beaches around the US are starting to open up again amidst the pandemic. As hikers, paddlers, climbers, runners, we crave time outside, but we also have a responsibility to do so in a way that respects the health of others and the land we’re on. We hear from four women who can help guide us in the right direction as we step out into this strange, familiar world.

That's a big thing that needs to happen more now is just, you know, increased mindfulness of power moving through the world.

The COVID-19 pandemic had already hit and if cities and states hadn't been taking it seriously before, they were forced to them.

But all long as states and cities went under lockdown,

as restaurants and shops closed

and shops closed, as group gatherings were limited

the Center for Disease Control or CDC said it was okay to get outside. The media followed with

guides for outdoor workouts and tips for getting into hiking. On Instagram I

started seeing memes boasting that the outdoors wasn't cancelled.
