Summary

Todays guest joining us on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots podcast is an entrepreneur who is combining his passion for a very common hobby across the world, with his passion for inventing the unusual. He wants to play golf smarter, by making a golf academy in the virtual world. Starting his career way back in 1983 which a six year stint in the US Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician it was little surprise that he would then take his skills into the world engineering. And this he did working his way through a series of positions within the Bently Nevada Corp, always looking for ways that he could fix a problem. Or take something already successful and give it a twist towards greater success. Finding the motivation to build a life of freedom in his life. And now in classic Join Up Dots style, he has taken his passion for problem solving, his engineering skills and his love of golf, and certainly given the whole sport an almighty twist. He has created the world first authentically majestic indoor golfing experience blending virtual and real golf together. He realized his game had diminished due to a lack of interesting choices for golfing indoors which would also meet his schedule and timing needs. He was not alone. The existing options for golfing indoors are sub-par. What was needed was a new industry standard that would: What this means is instead of trying to squeeze a round in after work before the light becomes too bad, you can play 24 hours a day. Even saving a round midway, to come back to at a later stage. Golf has become convenient and exciting, and allows the experts and novices to play together, enjoying the game time and time again. So its ok to get an idea like this but a very different ball game to find the investment and get it off the ground. So how did he do it? And did he find himself surrounded by people telling him that he was mad, and it couldn’t be achieved? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Dave Schultz.
