This is the Brand and Sherry podcast. In church, someone asked you to pray. Brother, Brant, would you like to lead us in prayer? Do you ever just want to be like, no? Nope. No, I do not want to lead us in prayer. I would love to do that. Like, if you're in a circle, it's sort of like, hey, Brand, go ahead and leave us prayer. Just go ahead, put my head down. While we're holding my hands, like, no, I don't want to. And then. Unless somebody else. I'd love to see somebody do that. Because you put somebody on the spot if you're doing that. I was very aware of that when I was a youth pastor. Like just say, hey, Kevin, why don't you go to leave it to prayer? Well, maybe what options does Kevin have right there? Because it's instant heathen status. Right. If you say, no, I don't want to do that. I don't want to. Because now it's your spiritual health that we're worried about. Well, why, Kevin? Can you not?

Whereas clearly the Bible's Jesus said for us not to pray in public.

To be seen.

Yeah, like that.

So if a person feels like I can't carry that off here in a public sphere.

I do think somebody ought to do that.

It's just say, nope.

I like that just be honest you don't feel like doing it

a lot of people hate this blog so I keep posting it

over and over and over it's called

a bucket list of things to do before going to hell

and the reason they hate it is

because, well, that's good stuff. A lot of that's really good stuff. I don't think you should

make fun of good stuff. I'm making fun of it. Well, I'm making fun of us. Right. But the idea is this.

And I'm saying, here's a whole list of things you can do and still not know God. That's all. Because you can do all this and I'm saying there's a whole here's a whole list of things you can do and still not know

God that's all because you can do all this and not really want him to be king and uh there's a lot of

different descriptions of hell in the Bible and different metaphors that are used a lot of different

descriptions but we know this it's for people who don't want God as king right and why would you want to even be in the kingdom of heaven if you want to be the king? Right. Because it'd be miserable. Yeah. And if you do all that stuff, I mean, that's one of the scriptures I always remember as a kid, is when Jesus said, you know, people say these things. I did that and that and that and that. And he never says, no, you didn't do any of that. Right. He just said, I didn't know you. That's true. He's like, yeah, yeah, you did that, huh? Anyway, that's exactly it. Right, right. You can still see, because that's why I like seeing reactions to this kind of stuff. Uh-huh. Because if you're amplifying on themes of Jesus, it's still going to divide people.

And the truth is a sword. It's a two-edged sword. So people will fall on one side of the other. And people who really feel like they need grace, like I need it, will fall on a certain side. Other people will get angry. True. And it's very interesting to see how that falls.

But the stuff I listed here, I just made a list of stuff, this is all stuff you can do before going to hell. I won't give you the whole list, but memorize scripture, teach Sunday school, tithe, be a brilliant theologian, lead the cookies for newcomers ministry, think you're one of the elect, listen to Christian radio, work in Christian Radio, protest same-sex marriage, protest people who protest same-sex marriage, lead powerful worship,

preach the word an hour and a half every Sunday like a real man, be a missionary in Africa,
