Busy week here for the birds, you know, usually June is kind of the downtime, but that June 1st date rolled around Barrett and the blockbuster deal finally went down. AJ Brown traded to the Patriots, much as we all expected to happen. They got a first round pick in 2028 and a fifth in 2027. Are you glad it's over? How you feeling now that it is finally done? I'll say I'm glad it's over, but am I glad he's gone? I can't be glad he's gone. We're talking about a top five wide receiver in NFL. We just let, you know, go. And we got, you know, virtually, you know, not a big as low, you know, because we had a first and a third to get him. Now we're getting back a first and a fifth i'm good with it i'm good

with it you know what i mean four years later that's not a bad return on investment and that's the

thing right there that's four years later like we optimize our money maker potential for four years

being to two super bowls and winning one for his services so i'm good with that you know the math is math and all. So I'm good with that. You know,

the math is mathing all day long. I'm good with that decision to let him go because he wanted to go. He went to, you know, the place where he always wanted to be. He wanted to get drafted by the Patriots, you know, so, you know, far better for me to keep him from going where he needs to go and being mad that he's going.

But I am not at a point in my life where I'm like, all right, I'm glad this top five wide receiver is leaving my offense. I'm not good with that at all. Yeah. Now he's in a heavenly place like Foxborough. Right. Like he said yesterday. Pretty crazy comment. But today for our show, I want to play a little game we do on Bird's Huddle on TV.

We present a statement to Barrett.

He lets me know if he's on board or if he's not.

So we're kind of all A.J. Brown all the time here after a massive trade.

So let's start things off. Believe it or not, the Eagles are selling A.J. Brown at the right time.

I'm believing that. I'm wholeheartedly believing that. Number one, he's not getting any younger.

You know, in his first three years, you know, he was dynamic, you know,

and his fourth year, even with him not being at a level that we've seen him play at,

he still had over 1,000 yards.

It's not like his production wasn't one that we could win with, you know, but, I mean, at the end of the day, you know, we optimized our potential with him being in the locker room.

Now, you know, we're going to go past and move on.

But yes, I am thinking that we did, you know, usher him off at the right time, you know.

I mean, everybody's saying he lost a step.
