This story is called Look Before You Leap. A frog was in a fish pond. It was time for him to eat. He wanted something tasty. He was hungry for a treat.

Every day he only ate mosquitoes for his lunch. This time he was hoping for a special kind of

munch. He jumped into the water and he ducked below the weeds. He peeped at all the insects that were buzzing in the reeds.

He swam a little closer when he saw a dragon fly. She looked so crisp and crunchy as she

fluttered through the sky. His tongue shot out like lightning, but he saw he hadn't quarter.

Mist, he said and shook his head and went back under water.

Again he watched the bushes with his bulgy little eyes.

With weeds upon his shoulders he was perfectly disguised.

A centipede came crawling on a branch over the stream.

It had a hundred yellow legs. The rest of it was green.

Again, the sticky tongue shot out, but missed the centipede.

The frightened creepy crawly ran away at quite a speed.

The frog let out a sigh and muttered,

This is getting silly.

It shook its head from side to side and jumped upon a lily.

His little tummy grumbled and he wanted something now.

He had to find his dinner and he would no matter how. He saw a little movement near some

reeds beside the shallows. At once he jumped to catch it but that's when he saw the shadow.
