Hey listeners it's time for another BKFK mini just to keep you entertained until the next

weekly episode. This one is another proverb. It's called Don't Judge a Book by its cover. Otto was a student. He spent his master was a wizard. He spent his days collecting bugs to feed them to the lizards. He kept the potion bottles neatly ordered on the shelves. He made sure that the mushrooms were protected from the elves.

Shoot!

The wizard had instructed him to keep the workshop clean.

He swept it daily with his broom. No mess was to be seen.

The wizard said,

I'm happy with the way you do your chores.

I think that you have earned your... with the way you do your chores.

I think that you have earned yourself a magical reward.

He went into his library and said,

Now have a look. I'm giving you permission. You can take a single book.

Otto was excited because he knew very well that written in each book he'd find a single magic

spell.

He walked among the shelves to see which book he would select.

He wanted something powerful.

It had to be perfect.

Would he learn a magic spell that taught him how to fly and set upon a broomstick as he whizzed around the sky?

Maybe he could vanish and then sneak around unseen or maybe make a potion that was bubbling and green.

Would he learn to make a magic fireball appear or turn into a dreadful beast that everybody feared?

Many of the books he saw were rather old and tatty.

Some of them had pages that were falling out and ratty.

Some were so untidy that they hardly could be red. Some of them had so much dust that Otto shook his head. Finally he found a book with golden glowing letters.
