We can make 59 million work. As of right now, Janai Broome should be the national player of the year in college basketball.

And while Cooper Flagg is incredible,

and I think he's a better NBA prospect than Jani, that's not what this award is about. It's not a

race to see who's going to get drafted higher. Now, the reason that Broom should be the front

runner isn't solely because of the numbers either, because they are pretty close when you look

in them. Broom on one hand is averaging 19.8 points a game, 10 and a half rebounds, 2.8 blocks per game and shooting 58% from the field,

while Flag is sitting there with 19.5 points per game, over 7 and a half rebounds, over two blocks,

and he's shooting 47% from the field. So if the numbers don't overwhelmingly decide it

because the difference isn't that big,

then the peripheral antidotes have to be the deciding factor.

Janai Broome plays on the best team in the country,

in the best league in the country.
