Welcome in Tiger fans, another edition of Play-by-Play, presented by our friends at The Advocate.

Welcome in as we set you up for another busy week of LSU athletics.

Coming up later, Jay Clark going to join us, talk a little LSU gymnastics with that season quickly approaching, along with the illustriate Kent Lowe. I'm Chris Blair and Kent, a busy week coming up. We'll start this past weekend, LSU, second straight week on the road in football. Come out with victory, 49, 39. Maybe that score not as indicative as how close that game was.

LSU got down early, 22 to 7.

And then old Harold Perkins, Jr.

Comes away with an interception and kind of gets the defense a little more solid footing in that game.

They made some plays down the stretch they needed, slowed Missouri down,

enough for Jaden Daniels and Company to take over and get out of there with a 10-point win.

Case you haven't heard, LSU has a quarterback.

Yes, they do.

Oh, my goodness.

What a performance this past weekend, just like the last five games have been.

It's been amazing.

Just a tremendous performance by Daniels and the LSU offense. And as you say, some things happened defensively late when it needed to.

And LSU walks out with a road game, a road win, in a fairly tough environment there in Como? No, they were very excited for

their team, as they should be, as Missouri came in 5 and 0 to that game. And, you know, Coach Kelly said

on Monday during the press conference, hey, look, we're not gangbusters defensively. We made a step

forward, not strides, not a leap, but steps forward. And that's all you're looking for based on what we've seen the last couple of weeks. And by the way, Jaden Daniels' third time named offensive player of the week by the SEC, no surprise. And Emery Jones Jr., the SEC offensive linemen of the week. So congratulations to them. It'll be Auburn in LSU, an Auburn team that's in a rebuilding mode with first-year head coach Hugh Freeze. But Ken, as I explain it, you can look at the stats and on paper. It looks like LSU, and they are the favorite going into this matchup. But you go back years and years and years and years. There's always seems to be an odd storyline that comes out of LSU and Auburn.

And strange things happen in that game. And Hugh Freeze is scary enough to me that if he can

just for one game put things together, he can be dangerous. Again, took Georgia all the way to the

wire last time out, lost 27 to 20. And I thought Georgia would do to Auburn what Georgia did to Kentucky this weekend,

which is handled them easily.
