Another week of Play-by-Play

another busy week coming up in LSU athletics.

We'll obviously cover that a little later on.

We're going to talk LSU women's basketball, as we've said for the last two to three weeks. It gets here very quickly. Once school starts, once football season's here, and you think, oh, basketball is waiting. Nope. It will be up on you very quickly. Again, joined by the illustrious Kent Lowe, and Kent, you know that better than anybody. There's no chance to sit back and go, well, it's just August. It's just September. I mean, basketball will be here. So we'll talk with Gary Rees the second from the LSU women's basketball team, the assistant coach on that championship program. And he'll join us to talk a little bit about that. But Kent, let's start with football.

Tigers got back to their winning ways, moved to one-in-one.

Not a huge surprise, 72 to 10.

Maybe we didn't expect to see 72 points as LSU score 70 plus for just the fifth time in program history.

But the end of the game, the score may have been a little surprising, but who was going

to win was not.

But there were schematic changes.

There were some personnel changes.

There were some tweaks to both offense, defense, and even special teams.

There were some changes that had to be made during the game because of the way

grambling played early on.

Exactly.

So I think, you know, listening to Coach Kelly not only after the game on Saturday, but

even on his press conference Monday, it sounded like, hey, we still got a lot of work to do,

a lot of things to clean up.

We're still looking for some players to kind of solidify their role, if you will,

but overall, he thought most of the boxes they wanted to check from an LSU standpoint,
