Good evening, everyone. I'm Laura Coates on this busy election night in America, where all eyes are now fixated on Maine in a showdown that could decide control of the Senate.

Democrats have officially picked scandal-plagued Graham Platner as their nominee.

He is the progressive oyster farmer and combat veteran, a political newcomer who's made some

Democrats uneasy over his past personal controversies, and he addressed some of those
