Our subject this week is a controversial one in cosmetic medicine today.

Although according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, it's one of the fastest growing segments of cosmetic treatments in the United States, it's also a type of cosmetic treatment that I do not perform.

I also have concerns regarding the use of these types of cosmetic treatments and surgeries, especially in young women.

Well, today we are going to dive deep into the field of cosmetic genital treatments,

specifically female cosmetic genital surgery. Now don't worry, we'll cover male

cosmetic genital treatments sometime in the future, but today it's all about the women.

In order to get a balanced and a sensitive perspective on this charged-up issue, I've enlisted

a very highly regarded female plastic surgeon to join me today on this show.

My guest this week earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Stanford University, then

one earned her MD at the UCLA School of Medicine.

She felt the call to become a plastic surgeon
