Today we're talking about growing varieties

that work for your region and your location because that's one of the things that John thinks a lot of people don't do well and

it's something that he definitely does particularly well so I'm going to go ahead and

let him talk about that.

All right, it's John Kohler with Growing Your Greens.com. Anyways, I'm on Kevin's show and today I'm going to be talking about about growing varieties at work.

So, you know, I used to live in Northern California and in Northern California were blessed with

really nice climate right I mean you could grow so many things in Northern

California if you're in Northern California right now consider yourself lucky

and blessed but once I actually moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, I learned that, you know, some things

in Las Vegas, especially in the summer when it's 100 plus degrees, don't actually work. So this

got me really interested into like learning about

specific varieties of plants or kinds of plants

that will grow better or worse in certain regions

and sub-regions.

I mean, for example, in San Francisco, where I was born you know they have like

you know different kinds of tomatoes that you could grow that will do well in the

cool foggy weather that don't need so much heat you know and likewise in Las Vegas in the summertime
