And today, we are rewinding back to June the 27th, 2017.

This was originally episode 2032, planning your future when the future is uncertain.

And so we're in the neighborhood of eight years.

That's kind of crazy that 2017 was eight years ago.

It doesn't seem that long ago, but it was.

A lot's happened between that and now.

And one of the most uncertain things that was introduced into our lives post-2017, between that and now, is right in the damn middle, COVID.

Hit us late 2019 and really impacted us beginning about March of 2020.

And if you lived in Texas, the big impact was for about two months.

And if you lived anywhere else, the big impact went on about two months, and if you lived anywhere else,

the big impact went on and on and on.

So much so that people left places like New York City and California in droves to go to places to like Texas and Florida,

among other places.

But Texas and Florida were the big net gainers in population during that time.

So there's definitely uncertainty that was between that and now.
