writer. I'm your host Tim Graal and I am a struggling writer trying to figure out how to tell a story

that works. Joining me shortly is Sean Coyne. He is the creator of Story Grid, the author of the

book Story Grid and an editor with over 25 years experience.

In this episode, we are finally taking the plunge and getting me to the point where I can

actually start working on the second draft. I'm really excited about this. We've gone through a lot

over the past couple months, and I'm excited to actually get started on the second draft.

So anyway, this episode I think is really good as you hear me plan out what my beginning

hook's going to look like.

Here's Sean's feedback on it and getting me to the point where I can actually start working

on it.

So Sean, I've gone through.

So we're finally at this point now where I think at the end of this, I'll actually get to start working on the second draft.

I meant to go back and count.

It's been at least two months since I finished the first draft,

and we started working through each of these things.

But it's just been really cool from my perspective to see a methodical way to go from first draft to second

draft because it's the most opaque kind of part of the writing process to me.
