All right, let's get started. What is going on, everybody? Welcome back to the Flip Lifestyle Podcast. Great to be back with you again this week. Super excited. Exited, I said. Super excited. I'm excited, y'all. Not egg-sided. You know what I mean? I don't even know what egg-sided. Does that mean you have eggs on all four sides of you? What's happening right now? I don't even know what I'm talking about. That's what podcasting is all about, but I'm happy to be here with you to bring you another episode of the Flip Lifestyle podcast as we're getting ready as we're all emerging from one year into the next. we got a little New Year's episode here for you. I've not looked at the calendar,

0:54.6

so I'm not sure if this is coming out before or emerging from one year into the next. We got a little New Year's episode here for you.

1:11.6

I've not looked at the calendar, so I'm not sure if this is coming out before or after New Year. It might come out either. It doesn't matter. It doesn't have to be. It ain't got to be perfect. It's just got to be out, right? But I want to talk to you a little bit about planning your year, how to get ready for a great year. I know there's a lot of goal setting things out there,

1:11.5

you know, this time of year on all great year. I know there's a lot of goal setting things out there,

1:16.0

you know, this time of year on all the shows. But I want to be really super practical. I just want to give you a peek behind the curtain and show you what's on our mind, how we think about the

1:20.6

new year. You know, we had recently, we had an episode on taking daily action. We got a great

1:27.1

YouTube video on that that you can check out over on our YouTube

1:29.7

channel.

1:30.5

And I wanted to expand on that now and show you how we take that mindset of being consistent,

1:36.2

prolific and relentless and taking daily action and going out into the world with

1:41.8

expectations and focusing on progress and being outcome independent. I want to show you how we expand that out into more like a plan. Like, how do you think about a whole year at once? You know, and then how do you break that down into cycles or quarters, you know, where you can chunk it out into what you can do. So I'm going to talk to you a little bit about how I'm going to do about how I plan my business goals for the year. And hopefully this will help you get out there in the world and set big goals and make your dreams happen in the new year to come. So all right. So the first thing I do every year, and I don't do this solo, but I do it first by myself is I just review the year before you know I get a cup of cup of coffee. I get a piece of paper. I don't have any prompts or anything. I actually, if you're looking on YouTube right now, watching our YouTube channel, you ought to check us out on YouTube, flipdlifestyle.com slash YouTube. They'll take you right there. I like these old parchmenty leather bound journals you find at like little mom and pop bookstores.

2:34.8

Like that's what I like to write on because it makes me feel like I'm, I don't know, like Merlin writing down my notes or something about King Arthur. I got the hiccups. I'm going to hiccup through this podcast. I ain't going to stop. Nothing's going to stop me. But I get a piece of parchment and a coffee. And I just write down all the things I'm proud of that I did.

2:51.8

I think it's really important on a daily basis parchment and a coffee. And I just write down all the things I'm proud of that I did.

2:51.8

I think it's really important on a daily basis, a weekly basis, a monthly basis, and an annual

2:56.4

basis to give yourself some freaking credit. Life is hard. You made it. You're alive. The sun came up

3:03.0

today, man. Give yourself some credit of the last year. You deserve credit, man. You survived. Maybe you

3:09.2

thrived, right? Maybe you're getting revived, you know, but you made it to the end of the year.
