and Jake spontaneously planned a hike. Now Jake and Natasha were called to the school,

but the hike is still on. Mr. Simon and Olivia are on the path up to lookout ledge right now,

and Olivia's about to exercise her faith and her bravery.

Grab some trail mix and let's join them for today's mini-adventure called Planned.

Mr. Simon, would you like some trail mix?

Oh, no, I'm okay. But thank you for offering. Do you like trail mix as much as your

brother? As much as Jake? Oh no, I don't think that's humanly possible. You two are different in many

ways, aren't you? You could say that. Jake has always been very energetic and spontaneous.

Yes, that sounds like our Jake. I've always been quiet energetic and spontaneous. Yes. That sounds like our Jake.

I've always been quiet and, well, a planner.

Ah, so it wasn't the heights that made you nervous about this hike?

No, I just didn't know we were going hiking.

I would have packed my own hiking boots and a hat hat, and my own trail mix, and a backpack,

and my water bottle with a little mountain sticker on the back, and, well, you get the point.

You'd have liked to have arrived prepared for hiking.

Yeah. Planning for things makes me feel better about them.
