Hello and welcome to yet another edition of Plank of the Week.

These things come around very, very quickly, but don't worry, we won't have to use up

all the same names as we did last week because there's been fresh and new planks this week.

There's so many of them.

I'm not sure if 10 is going to be enough.

I'm delighted

to say, Linda Duluthi returns after a couple of weeks away. And my good friend James Max

from the early breakfast show on Talk Radio has also joined us. And you two have never met

amazingly. We have not. But here we are. Congratulations and welcome to the Planck's panel.

Now I feel as though, because James hasn't been here for a while, we should let you kick off with your first plank nomination.

I'd like to start off with somebody who, I had to say, I didn't know who he was, and I probably should do.

Maybe I should care.

But this is a chat called Maros Sefkovich.

Yes. care, but this is a chat called Maros Sefcovic. He is a Slovak diplomat, but he's also

serving as a vice president of the European Commission. Of course he is. And he is the guy who's

fundamentally said, if you don't come to some agreement or sort out what's happening with Northern Ireland

and you act unilatery, then we are going to have war. We're going to hold you to the letter of the law.

And this is a guy who seems not to understand that there are probably some hurried and rushed bits of this piece of legislation,

which doesn't do any good to anybody. It doesn't help the European Union, it doesn't help the United Kingdom,

and it certainly doesn't help the people in Northern Ireland at all. And what we really should be doing is, look, the deal's been done. We've all moved on. Brexit wasn't the big terrible thing that everybody said it was going to be. And in fact, the pandemic has shown that a lot worse thing's going to happen. Thank you very much indeed. And especially if you're still in the European Union. You would have been vaccinated by that.
