The Falcon 9 is too, the balance. Outer space.

It's an unforgiving place to do business.

Which is why historically it has been solely the province of governments.

It's only sovereign nations who could really afford to foot the bill for costly missions to the Great Beyond and to be able to drape them in patriotism that's

required to justify the very real risks that come along with it. Well, that is no longer the case.

NASA shut its space shuttle program six years ago because it was just simply too risky, too

expensive. But that left the door wide open for a clutch of billionaires like Jeff Bezos and

Richard Branson and Elon Musk, who have all taken to the space business, building spaceships

for all types of different reasons, whether it's space tourism or satellite launches or in the case

of Musk's SpaceX supply runs to the International Space Station. One name you probably have not

heard amid that starry constellation of tycoons is Will Marshall, who is today's guest on Danny in

the Valley. His company Planet Planet, has taken a very

Silicon Valley approach to space. A company operates out of a warehouse across the street from a

secondhand clothing store in San Francisco, and it churns out super powerful and very cheap

satellites like Krispy Kreme does donuts.

It's only seven years old, but it's already worth well over a billion dollars.
