It's an absolute honor to have you. So over recent years, you've been at the forefront of calls

for a progressive green new deal in Europe. Can you begin by telling us how your work either

connects or differs from the green new deal framework in the US and also the green new deal offered

by the European Parliament and what some of the key policy pillars are? Well, let's begin with

not so much the European Parliament. The European Parliament is really nonexistent.

It's the European Commission. The European Commission has a so-called green deal, not a green new deal.

This omission of the word new is intentional. And it's very significant.
