Welcome to the Before Breakfast podcast.

Today's tip is that if you want more fun in your life, plan a play date for yourself.

So if you have little kids, my bet is that you have planned all sorts of playdates for them

over the years. You do this so they can interact with peers and have special experiences.

Maybe you meet up with another family at the playground or invite a neighbor over to jump on the

trampoline with your kids, or pick your child and a classmate up from school and take them to a

paint-your-own-pottery studio. Kids need time together for recreation. Well, guess what? Adults also

need time together for recreation.

And obviously, it is nice to connect with a friend over lunch or for a run.

But I encourage you to consider other fun stuff you can do together too.

Plenty of adults could use more play in their lives.

They might also be able to use more time with friends.

Perhaps it is possible to combine the two. So think about the options. What about one of those

classes where everybody paints a tree or snow scene or something like that while sipping
