I need to stop eating so much damn red meat

Ah, so this is an intriguing dilemma because after speaking with you, I know that you grew up on a farm and you're also very empathetic

Those things would lead me to believe that you know being around animals

Even when they are not yet to be eaten when they're just

Hets or around you or dealt with in in ways that are not uh dead, I suppose

Would make you feel empathy towards them as creatures and therefore be less likely to want to eat as many of them

That is how I ended up being where I am now, which is as a

pescatarian mostly vegetarian the occasional fish and

Couple things happen to me if you listen to my previous podcast with Gretchen Rubin

It was a lightning bolt moment wherein I saw a video of a little pig named pickles and its owner said pickles

You want a belly rub and this little pig ran around the corner and then slid in on its back

Belly up to get a belly rub and I was like yeah, I'm not gonna be eating pigs for a while

And then I read about how they're basic dogs and they're smartest dogs and they're wonderful

And so I took a break from just all meat after pickles and now I just haven't eaten it in like two years

So I don't know if you can have your lightning bolt moments

I don't think you actually want to quit altogether. You just want to eat less red meat
