You guys are probably wondering why there was not a brand new show last week, and I've

got the answer for you, but first let me tell you this is Brian Preston, I'm your host

of the Money Guy show, you can go check out our website, it's money-guy.com, but I want

to jump right in and tell you about today's show topic and what happened to me last week.

I got the phone call that nobody in my industry ever wants to receive, and that phone call

was that the SEC, that's the Securities and Exchange Commission, that's not the Southeastern

Conference if you're a college fan.

The Securities and Exchange Commission was going to come by to introduce themselves

to us, to do not really a spot check, but more of just an interview session, and as you

can imagine, that scared the EVGbies out of me, not because we have anything to hide,

it's just because my philosophy is there's two organizations that you have to worry about.

If you don't pay your power bill, sure they're eventually going to come off your, cut off

your power, but there's a pretty good period before that happens, and then you can always

just pay your bill, and they'll turn the power back on.

Or if you don't pay the phone bill, you can use your cell phone or something like that.

But if you ever cross the Securities and Exchange Commission or the Internal Revenue Service,

if they don't like what you've done, they'll just shut you down.
