Summary

We all see the world differently. That’s obvious when we look at your unique pictures of our stories. But imagine being able to see the world through the eyes of a pixie. 0:38.6	We've been looking at stories about little people, the hairy red man from the mines in Darbyshire,
0:45.5	Bernisa from Scandinavia, fairies from Ireland and this week we visit Pixies from Devon in the
0:53.3	southwest of England. Pixies or piscis, as they call them in Devon, live on the moors. They're said
1:00.8	to be small and skinny and they can be quite naughty. This story was collected and put into a book
1:09.6	over 150 years ago by a writer called Anna Eliza Bray. While we have a quick word with the
1:17.4	grown-ups can you have a think about what you do if you came across a pixie? Well would you be
1:23.7	friendly to it or would you run away as quickly as possible? I'll be back in a minute.

1:41.6	What is the best kind of story? Well I think the best kind of story is an old story which has
1:48.6	been told for many years and passed on from person to person. Oh that's a good answer. I thought
1:54.3	you're going to say something specific like only Baba Yaga stories or a Nancy stories or
1:58.8	stories that have to have two head of giants in them. No just a story which has been loved and
2:04.1	passed along and told by lots of people. Right okay so if we really want more people to hear
2:10.2	stories seems like we're going to need help from our lovely listeners. Yes we know these stories
2:16.0	because people have been sharing them with each other for donkeys years. I tell you you tell
2:21.6	someone else they tell someone else and soon everyone knows the story. Hmm you know what Kim I think
2:28.5	maybe it's such a good idea that we could possibly put it into song.
2:32.4	If you tell a friend and I tell a friend we'll all have a super great time and if they share one
