In publishing and book marketing news, well, Chris rush has a great series right now on the year in

review and she has an article about traditional publishing which came out last week and remember chris

and her husband dean wesley smith were in traditional publishing for decades so they have seen it

all and it is a

pretty long article. It's really interesting kind of looking at how things have changed this year.

from the trial between the Department of Justice in the US and Penguin Random House. And it's

CEO, Michael Peach or Pietch, not sure how you say that, but he said, I do not consider self-publishing

a threat at all because self-published authors can't pay themselves an advance against royalties.
