But is the answer to trade for J.C. Tretter? And can Kevin Dotson get healthy enough to fix the problem? The answer might need a move from Omar Khan, or just more creative scheming for the Steelers mobile quarterbacks in Mitch Trubisky, Kenny Pickett or Mason Rudolph. Speaking of Rudolph, the calls to trade him for a draft pick miss the mark. Chris Carter sees that as a bad idea, and he references what the Steelers went through in 2019 with Rudolph and Devlin Hodges when Ben Roethlisberger got hurt. Rudolph should be a "break glass in case of emergency QB." And that's fine. Also, Robert Spillane, Chase Claypool, Mason Cole and even Devin Bush were players who looked better on a film review of the Steelers' preseason win over the Jacksonville Jaguars than they did live.
