He said, all I know is that when I stop praying, the coincidences stop happening.

When he said that 25 years ago that one sentence was

transformational. God used it as secondary means to transform how I thought

about prayer.

It freed me up for so much stuff from overthinking it,

trying to figure out how doing it right and wrong.

Five centuries ago in taverns and public houses across Europe,

the masses would gather for discussion and debate

over the latest ideas sweeping the land. From one such meeting

place a small Cambridge inn called the Whitehorse, the Reformation came to the

Prayer is one of our greatest blessings God offers, and it's also one of our biggest sources of

guilt confusion and frustration. For some it seems to be a great joy and flows

smoothly in their relationship with God.

Others face a feeling of deep inadequacies regarding their prayer life,

asking what they can do to make communication with God more central, more fulfilling, more fruitful, and more faithful.

As Christians, we know that prayer is essential to the Christian life, and many are searching

for biblical and theological reflection, help, and wisdom in this area.
