Hello and welcome to the political orphanage, a home for plucky misfits, problem solvers, and a hell of a lot of

disaffected independence. I'm your host, Andrew Hee. And last week we covered

minor party candidates and their pitch to

independence for why we should vote for them. This week we are going to have on

Donald Trump and Kamala Harris to pitch me on why we should vote for them.

Now I say that, the Trump and Harris campaigns have both informed me that they will get back to me, that they are not sure

that the candidates will have time to come on the political orphanage, certainly not at the same

time as I originally proposed.

They're thinking, 50-50 is kind of the vibe I get from them on whether Donald Trump and Kamala Harris

will come on.

So just in case I am unable to secure on in their candidate. So today we are going to hear from Austin Peterson. A couple of

listeners have suggested bringing him on specifically given that he is very pro-Trump and he is also very libertarian and they thought he would do well to speak to an audience that includes quite a lot of independence,

many of whom have libertarian inclinations.

Tomorrow, Jeremiah Johnson and Jeff Maurer will make the case to libertarians, independence, and moderates as well on why we should vote for

Kamala Harris.

So if today you find yourself getting enraged that I'm not bringing up X. Do keep in mind we will be

hearing another episode tomorrow affording you another opportunity to be

enraged about something else. Everybody gets to be enraged by the end of the week and then for God's sake

we'll get it out of our system here in about a month, hopefully. Anyway my goal

today and tomorrow is to try to focus more on the policy side of this, the agenda for both

candidates, specifically economics and foreign policy. Those are what I'm what I'm

largely interested in discussing.
