The Pistons got even with the magic, but did they take control of the series?

would be really appreciated. Before we get to our takes, Mike, let's start by breaking down

that Pistons win over the magic last night. My big picture thought in this one, both teams are who we thought they were after looking

like something else in game one.

Going after that game one, I thought the Pistons were outclassed, out physicaled, just

bullied by the Orlando Magic.

And I was really watching to see, okay, are the Pistons going to be

more physical in game two? How do they go about being more physical? The whole, we talk about

physicality as sort of just like a mindset. There's X's and O's and things like that in terms of

trying to establish physicality too. And I was kind of interested to see how both teams

entered this game trying to establish themselves in that way. And I think the Pistons did a really good job of that.

And on the flip side, I thought the Magic, this game was tied at halftime. The Pistons came out

with that big third quarter run. The Magic were a team during the regular season that could

wobble in the face of adversity. And boy, did they wobble in that third quarter. I thought both teams went back to who they were during the regular season, especially during that third quarter, Mike. Yeah, I mean, that 30 to three run felt like it happened in five real life minutes. You know, it was like there was, it's one of the few times where you get a run like that. There really weren't a ton of fouls. There weren't a ton of time out. So just one team hit a shot every single time down the court. I think I heard that it was 30 points in 16 possessions. So that's basically getting a layup every single time you have the ball, which is astonishing when you think about it. And it didn't even feel like there was like that one pivotal play that really sparked it either, right? It was just like an avalanche that

happened. Right. And, you know, if you'd gone to the bathroom and come back, you'd been like, what the hell did I just miss? I felt bad for the fans in Detroit. Like, if you went and got a beer, You came back and you were like, I just, I witnessed this Ben Wallace era, like, Slugfest rock fight for our first half.

And then I come back and you, you go on a 33 run. What just happened? I was just trying to get in Miller Light. What's going on? Yeah, it's worth pointing out that this was still, like, you know, very much the rock fight. Like you said, that we all expected. Like, the magic can be like, well, we went eight for 32 from deep. Like even the magic, we're not usually going to shoot that badly.
