hey what's up man i'm totally not emotionally broken by the det Pistons. He's super excited to be here. Yeah, man, it's funny. We're going to start right off with that game. Yeah, it's that. How are you feeling about this game?

I feel okay.

Obviously, the Knicks for missing Carl Anthony Towns, O.G. Anobie, Duce Pick Bride,

arguably the way the way Deuce has played this year, three of their four best players,

probably exhausted from that double overtime went over the Denver Nuggets, both emotionally and physically. But you know what? Detroit was playing a back-to-back. They didn't have Jalen Duren. And this was not the first time this season that has happened, right? They played about like three weeks a month ago. That was a 29 point game. This was a 38 point game. Average out 33 and a half points per game.

The Detroit Pistons are beating the New York Knicks by. And two times they've come out. And maybe there was a level of desperation. Nicks were coming off arguably their best win of the year. Pistons were coming off far in a way their worst loss of the year, right? Losing to an underman wizard's team, during the motivation was there. you go back to the first game, the motivation was there from the playoff series last year.

Like Detroit has treated these like finals games. Like they want to send a message. Like they want to bully the Knicks into absolute submission. And the Knicks had been sort of laissez fair about these matchups that have had tired legs and have had Jaylen Brunson this game go four for 20. partially because he was exhausted, partially because Sarr Thompson put together one of the best defensive performances I have ever seen in a regular season NBA game. He was extraordinary. So these games are all about how you want to view them. And if you want to take this as like, all right, Detroit just has a leg up on the Knicks. And it's a terrible matchup for them. If you want to take it as the Knicks cannot get to their best lineups against the Pistons, it cannot get to their spacing lineups against the Pistons that are actually going to make things tough on Detroit, you could look at it that way too. Yeah, I mean, when it comes down to like Dennis Jenkins, 18 points in this game, and he's just had a crazy season. It's been amazing to see the season that he's had. The Detroit Pistons have, this season have just been so good on offense, so good on defense. What they did tonight, even without Jalen Duren in the game, I think is special. But when you, because at this point now, of course, we kind of know what teams are going to be in the playoffs. These are two teams that, you know, may face off in the second round, depending on how it shakes out, may not be to the Eastern Conference finals.

What is your confidence level for the Knicks against the Detroit Pistons if a playoff series were to start now? It's pretty confident or it's a pretty high level of confidence if Mike Brown does not coach like Tom Thibbado. I mean, last year, Detroit hyper-physical, wanted to take that series to the muck. And Tom Thibodeau just started doing like a slow clap. It was like,

all right, let's go. This is how I want to play. And that was a terrible strategy. And the

Knicks only got out of it because Jalen Brunson was consistently the best player on the floor

in the final few minutes of games because they got a game too from Kat where he had like some of the best tough shot making like I've ever seen from a guy in a playoff game. They had really high level defensive efforts, but they absolutely like allowed Detroit to dictate the terms of engagement. And if the Knicks do that this year, I don't think they'll get as lucky because Detroit is like a year stronger, a year meaner, a year more physical, Kate Cunningham.

The turnovers were such an issue for him in the series last year. He's cut down on them pretty dramatically this regular season.
