I'm Ashfin and I'm on the phone with Brian.

And on this week's episode, we're going to be talking about the 2010 film, Piranha 3D, a remake of the 1978 film directed by Alexandra Aja and written by Pete Goldfinger and

Josh Stolberg and starring Elizabeth Shue, Adam Scott, and Jerry O'Connell.

In this film, a spring break in Arizona goes haywire when a group of prehistoric man-eating

pranas emerge from a lake.

If you're new to our show, we're going to have a spoiler-free discussion for the first

10 to 15 minutes, then we'll take a quick break, and then we'll come back, we'll talk about

the plot, hit the spoilers, and review the film.

And Brian, I picked this movie for two reasons.

One, it's been a pretty strong performer on our Patreon surveys.

We've been doing some polls over the last few months where Patreon members get to pick a movie

that we review and cover on our Patreon platform.

And this film, I think, has been on the list at least two or three times, and it comes

in like second or third place.

So there's definitely a group of people out there who want us to cover this.

And it's been on my list.

And then the second reason, though, is, you know, it's summertime.
