Summary

Rachael and Caitlin are back and WOW is this episode a ride!! Rachael tells us all about what she was really doing during high school (working at a human trafficking operation?), and Caitlin shares her dating lore - how her husband ghosted her, the time she went on a date with someone who happened to also be on a date with someone else, and the absolute most insane red flags a human being could ever ignore. The ladies introduce the key to the most magical/delusional/irresponsible summer ever - PING GIRL SUMMER. The episode ends with the announcement of a You're So Right Nap Trap Book Club (our first pick may or may not be legal?)! As always - please rate and review and FOLLOW the pod!!! Todd at Apple Podcasts told us that it really does matter, and he was a cutie and we want him to like us. You can also subscribe to our Youtube channel and look out for full episodes coming soon! Next week we'll be doing another episode of "so right or so wrong" so feel free to add your question or scenario into your review! We love you!  Learn more about your ad choices. Okay. Hi. Hi. Hi. Thank you. I'm good. How are you? I realized last week's podcast, we at no point did we ever acknowledge that we were on a podcast, what the name of the podcast was, or where anyone was listening to us.

0:40.4

We didn't. So, hi, everyone. This is a podcast called...

0:43.3

Yes. Shocking, I know.

0:45.9

You're so right. I'm Rachel. I'm Caitlin.

0:51.0

I'm so glad to be back. Also, speaking of last week, okay, this was bothering me so much. What?

0:57.0

Not the makeout story. Sure. But I was like, it's just my truth. No, I was like, why do I feel like I was such a loser? I wasn't hanging out with my boyfriend all the time. I wasn't in sports

1:12.0

really seriously. So what the hell was I doing with all my time? And then I forgot that I had two

1:18.5

jobs for all of high school. Oh. I was like, okay, this makes so much more sense. Now things are

1:26.3

adding up. That's where I was.

1:28.2

Okay, well, first of all, I didn't think you sounded like a loser. You sounded like what everybody, what, no, you had a boyfriend.

1:35.0

But that's losery for your boyfriend to be your hobby. That's not, that's looking back on it now it is, but at the time, like, that's what every girl would have wanted.

1:44.9

I guess so. I guess so. Did you have any high school jobs? I feel like that's... I was a lifeguard at a

1:51.3

country club during the summers, but I didn't, yeah, which was great. And I was not good at it,

1:59.4

which probably is very surprising.

2:01.9

Yeah, if I had plans that night and there was a kid struggling, I would throw noodles or

2:07.2

kickboards to them. And I'd be like, I can't jump in today, Spencer. I've got plans tonight

2:12.5

and my hair's done. But like, grab this noodle. Yeah. And I remember one time, too, there was a kid ate too many starbursts and he threw up in the pool. And there's like a whole thing with like chemicals. You're supposed to be testing the pHs. I just scooped it out with a cup and let everybody keep swimming. I mean, it's not like it's diarrhea. Starbursts. The chemicals in the starbursts themselves had to have killed. Exactly. Those were, that red dye 40 was neutralizing whatever bacteria. But what were your jobs? So I babysat. I was a like babysitter and mother's helper since the time I was 12, which is insane. I watched four kids under six when I was 12 years old.

2:51.1

What? Is that not insane?

2:53.5

They think there should be child labor loss against that.

2:55.9

I think I made like $8 an hour.

2:57.4

You were running like a in-home daycare.

2:59.6

I was a literally, I was an educator.
