My name is Justin Seams and I am your host.

Today is a special episode.

It's a story that I've never told before

and who thought that here we are 107 episodes in and we haven't repeated too many stories from here on out.

But today I am recording with my buddy Pietro Marsala.

He is a young pilot. He's in his 20s.

He was going after this career foreblown and he came into a few stepbacks.

He found out that he had type 1 diabetes and if you're familiar with type 1 diabetes and first class medicals that's not possible.

So his dreams were crushed.

He found out that he could not do what he wanted to do.

He could not become an airline pilot, but he did not give up he was actually a

CFI during the whole time flying keeping track of all his stats and what his

body was telling him and he was able to use all that information to become the

very first pilot with a first-class medical that is type 1 diabetic and on

insulin. It is an amazing story and one that I am just super honored to hear him and

and have him on to share and his dedication to becoming a pilot is just something that I just love to see and it's really refreshing to hear

He has truly faced a lot of diversity in his short short career that he's had and he is going to be set up for a lot of success once

coronavirus is done having its way with our industry.
