The last two Christmases were raped by coronavirus. Pubs were deserted, office parties cancelled. Many people stayed home to protect their elderly relatives.

This year it's an epidemic of strikes infecting our holiday spirit.

And the super spreader is RMT union boss Mick Lynch.

Here's a reminder of what he said just a couple of weeks ago.

We have left the Christmas period strike free deliberately. We cannot leave this action to go cold.

We've not been on strike for two months. We moved other dates to facilitate important public and national events.

Well, congratulations on showing up to work for two entire months,

but your festive tune has changed.

Three new rail strikes,

including one that callously begins on Christmas Eve,

will throttle family plans and crush business for bars, restaurants and shops.
