These were some of the biggest names in American architecture not so long ago.

In the 1950s, they and dozens of other major architects

participated in a psychological study at UC Berkeley. The researchers wanted to know what makes a person

creative. Why does one person go on and lead a creative life while equally

talented people never reach anywhere near their potential.

This fascinating study had been largely forgotten

until this year when Pier Luigi Sarajino published The Creative Architect inside the Great Mid-century

personality study, Pierle Luigi, welcome to Design Matters.
