our way through shoutouts dating back to August. The character name request list keeps growing

bigger, which unfortunately means longer wait times before hearing your name in a story.

I'm still committed to including everyone that has

made a request up until now, but we may unfortunately be nearing the point where I no longer can keep up.

Making a name request and then having to wait until your hair turns gray is not fun for anybody.

So it may be soon time to change how we do things, but for now, we'll keep rolling as is.

Today's story, called Picture Day, is dedicated to both of you.

Let's get into the story.

This is the story of Gabriel and Nate.

Two kids from the same school who became friends because of one thing they both had in common.

Gabriel and Nate both dreaded Picture Day. Picture Day took place once every

school year. A professional photographer would come to the school, set up some big clunky lights,

a tall stand holding up a large backdrop, and a tripod to hold a big heavy camera. The photographer

would then attempt to take a group photo with each class, followed by

individual photos of every single student in the entire school, many of whom would always ask the

photographer the same old questions. Why do you need all of that stuff? Don't you know you can just

take a picture on your phone? That's how my parents do it.

The photographer never appreciated hearing this 50 plus times every single visit.

Otherwise, most kids generally did as they were asked

by sitting on the stool, rotating their shoulders,
