How you decide what to grow in your garden is really perhaps one of the most personal choices

in the garden at all.

I mean, I know people who grow ornamentals only, I know people who grow tomatoes only, potatoes

I might be that third person, that potato only person sometimes.

I've grown maybe 40 different varieties of potatoes.

Today though, we are talking about a relative of the potato, the tomato.

But you know, since that's not a problem to solve for garden seed varieties, home garden seed

varieties, breeders have focused primarily on flavor and home gardeners, you know, typically

try to harvest at the optimal time.

So you know, in the end, you get a much more delicious tomato when you grow it yourself.
