of how things work around here. Every Tuesday and Thursday, I put out new episodes of Hi-Lo

with Amrata. On Tuesdays, I do a feature-length interview with culturally relevant guests.

Most recently, journalists and author Taylor Lorenz, who covers online culture. Love that

episode and singer-dancer actress Tinashe, who is also amazing, such a sweetheart. On Thursdays,

we do Amrata asks where I do a deep dive into a topic that's been on my mind. It could be related

to current events, a recent interview, or just something I was curious to explore. Every Thursday,

we also drop an exclusive, subscribe or only talk back episode. Or I answer your questions

and respond to your comments. I love that episode. It's so nice to hear from all of you. We play

summer, you know that we're in something of a pivotal time for the labor movement, which is

exciting, because it's particularly related to my industry. We're two months into the SAG strike,

which began on July 14th, the summer, and we're four and a half months into the WGA strike,

which began on May 2nd. And while for a long time, it seemed like the AM, PTP, the movie studios

have no interest in budging, there have been some really positive signs lately that they're starting

to become more willing to come to the table, considering all of the bad PR generated and just

online the discourse of very anti-netflix, Amazon, etc. And it's funny because on some level,

it seems like it actually just be cheaper for the studios to just give in. I saw a headline just

last week that Warner Brothers Discovery takes one quarter loss larger than entire industry cost

of WGA proposals. So they are definitely worried about the macro of what these changes will mean
