I mentioned a stat earlier that Earl asked me to clarify.

So DVOA does team efficiency and coverage stats on pass catching.

And they have a DVOA stat called an open percentage.

It's the percent of snaps where the receiver was open.

And then they also have a wide open rate.

The percentage of snaps where the receiver was wide open.

New England was New England's receiver group last year,

led by Stefan Diggs, was fifth in the league in open percentage, second in the league in wide

open rates. So they were separating, you know, at a larger rate in that wide open category,

more than any other team with the exception of Minnesota, Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison,

et cetera, and their receivers.

So Diggs, now I'm looking for the actual player separation rates, and for whatever reason,

I cannot find them

in DVOA. But the team, New England, you know, one of the reasons they had as much success as

they did during the regular season, and Drake May was a legitimate MVP candidate, is because

they had receivers that were getting open at a wide open rate at the second highest level

in the NFL.
