Summary

Bonus: the rest of my Phyllis interview https://www.patreon.com/posts/17870986 Phyllis Bennis, of the Institute for Policy Studies talks about debating John Bolton, that time he helped the Iraq War happen, the undeserved rehabilitation of George Bush, and the problem with the way people talk about Syria. Quote of the ep: "There are Syrians who are calling for US intervention just as there were some Libyans who were calling for NATO intervention. The problem is, they were wrong. And the fact that they were Libyans, the fact that there are currently Syrians saying it, that doesn't make it right. When people say we have to lift up Syrian voices, that's absolutely true. But Syria is a country of 24 million people. The Syrian voice doesn't exist. There are many Syrian voices. We need to hear Syrian voices but if the solution is just we need a Syrian voice to say what I believe, that's not the answer."
