Addison let's get right to our question today hello my name is Rebecca and I had a question concerning I'm get right to our question today. Hello, my name is Rebecca and I had a question concerning I NFJs.

I figured out I was an INFJ type last year after being mistyped by my well-meaning friends.

At this point I am pretty confident I am an INFJ, but something that seems

odd to me is this. I've heard countless times even from you guys that this is one of the rarest personality

types and because of that I'm almost

surprised by how many INFJs I hear about both on your podcast and on different

websites. It just seems like a surprising amount of INFJs for something that is so rare.

My two theories were that, one, because it's such a rare type, people want to claim it as their

own because they want to be seen as unique.

Or two, I know that INFJ's often really enjoy the Myers-Brigg system,

so perhaps all of them just come out of the woodwork when they find a community especially

online, which is great. My concern is if my first theory is correct, then could the meaning of

being an INFJ be muddied or corrupted? I'm not trying to be all, this is my personality type and

you can't have it.

I just get concerned when I see something that says,

you know you're an INFJ when, dot dot, dot,

usually followed by something that has nothing to do with being an INFJ,

perhaps causing confusion for those who truly are INFJs.

I hope this makes sense.

But can you imagine what it would feel like to have someone take your personality type
